Job summary

Penfield Search Partners Ltd. is seeking a Senior Director to head the Quantitative Pharmacology group in Princeton, NJ. The incumbent will lead pharmacometrics activities across drug development, partnering with nonclinical and clinical teams as well as external vendors.

The position requires a strong background in quantitative drug development, PK/PD modeling, and translational strategies, with demonstrated leadership and collaboration across therapeutic areas.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of postdoctoral experience in quantitative pharmacology/pharmacometrics.
• Experience in development and application of quantitative methods in drug development.
• Strong background in population PK modeling, exposure–response modeling, and statistical/mechanistic models for development.
• Proven track record in clinical research and collaboration across therapeutic areas.
• Strong interpersonal, writing and presentation skills; team-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Key member of a product development team, contributing to the advancement of novel chemical entities with a quantitative perspective for development strategy.
• Provide insight and leadership on pharmacokinetic aspects of trials and programs and its application in development strategy.
• Drive the implementation of pharmacometric principles and practices.
• Development and execution of model-based analyses including translational PK/PD, population PK, exposure–response, clinical trial simulations, and QSP modeling.
• Provide pharmacometric support for programs through worldwide regulatory filings and presentations.
• Communicate results clearly to functional area experts and senior management.
• Interface with discovery sciences, preclinical, toxicology, clinical ops, regulatory affairs, and late-stage clinical research.
• Mentor and/or supervise junior staff to perform duties and support career development.
