Job summary

Veracyte is seeking an experienced Manager, Software Test Automation, to lead the Quality Engineering Platform team in San Diego. You will drive automation strategy, build self-service testing tools, and promote AI-assisted quality practices across product teams.

The role emphasizes developer enablement, platform engineering, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to improve software reliability, security, and regulatory compliance in healthcare diagnostics.

Qualifications

6–7 years of software engineering or quality engineering experience.
3+ years leading QE, SDET, or Developer Platform teams.
Experience building engineering platforms, automation libraries, and CI/CD integrations.
Strong background in cloud-native applications and distributed systems.
Familiarity with regulated environments and healthcare software quality expectations.

Responsibilities

Lead and grow the Quality Engineering Platform team.
Define long-term strategy for quality engineering and developer enablement.
Build self-service quality platforms and reusable testing libraries.
Embed quality across the software development lifecycle with shift-left/right practices.
