Newton Research is a fast-growing software start-up founded by repeat entrepreneurs and well-funded by blue chip venture capital firms. We are working with cutting edge technology including LLMs and generative AI. We build products that leverage AI agents to handle complex marketing analytics workflows for our clients and partners.

Role Description

We are looking for an experienced Seller in the Boston or New York City area (remote / hybrid potential). The role involves leading Newton's Publisher and Platform sales, driving new business and bookings from media publishers and platforms such as TV networks, social media platforms, DSPs/SSPs, measurement companies, and ad tech platforms. Responsibilities include managing existing partnerships, sourcing new leads, attending industry events, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. As the leader of this practice, you will help shape our go-to-market strategy for the vertical.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in selling to publishers and platforms, preferably in marketing or advertising analytics, though software sales experience is not mandatory. Experience with Analytics, Advertising Technology, or Media applications, and familiarity with the advertising analytics market, are highly desirable. The ability to work independently in a fast-growing environment is essential.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage the entire enterprise sales cycle, from prospecting to closing deals with publishers and platforms.
  • Achieve net-new business and expansion targets through a "land-and-expand" strategy.
  • Oversee strategic engagement of assigned publisher and platform accounts.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of marketing analytics and AI landscapes, including challenges and competitive dynamics relevant to target customers.
  • Collaborate with Product, Data Science, and Customer Success teams to tailor sales approaches and inform product development.
  • Define the go-to-market strategy for Newton's publisher and platform sales practice.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records in HubSpot, tracking activities, deals, and forecasts.
  • Contribute to scaling and refining the enterprise sales playbook as the company grows.
Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of sales experience selling to publishers and platforms, preferably in analytics or advertising technology.
  • Strong knowledge of the advertising ecosystem.
  • Proven ability to sell complex, high-value solutions in an enterprise environment.
  • Ability to communicate complex analytics solutions effectively to customers.
  • Deep understanding of analytics and AI, especially how publishers and platforms view analytics, attribution, and profitability.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a passion for helping organizations scale.
  • Highly organized, process-oriented, and comfortable working towards quotas.
