Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent plus 5 years of experience, including 1 year of managerial experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Public Safety Analysis Unit and establish its priorities, objectives, procedures, analytical standards, and service expectations in coordination with the Director of Threat Assessment and Public Safety Systems.
• Directly supervise assigned analysts and be accountable for employee performance and development, workload management, service coverage, analytical quality, and continuity of operations.
• Conduct analytical work and perform analyst functions when staffing, workload, operational needs, or urgent circumstances require additional coverage.
• Develop case timelines, identify information gaps, conduct or coordinate authorized research, and support interviews or investigative activity when assigned and operating within the position’s training and authority.
• Lead the annual planning, development, delivery, and evaluation of the Idaho Threat Assessment Conference.
• Respond to urgent situations, major events, and campus emergencies.
• Manage assigned financial, technological, and informational resources and recommend improvements needed to support reliable and effective unit operations.
