Job summary

Verdantas is pioneering environmental consulting and sustainable engineering with a remote Project Manager role and preferred location in San Diego, CA. You will oversee engineering design activities, coordinate with clients, pursue new work, draft proposals and change orders, and manage project budgets and schedules.

This role supports Verdantas' power-engineering initiatives and digital transformation efforts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in civil/electrical/mechanical engineering.
• 4–5 years of project management experience or lead engineer on a project.
• PMP Certification a plus.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, GIS, CYME, or similar distribution modeling tools.

Responsibilities

• Monitoring project progress
• Selling new work and other business development tasks like client outreach
• Drafting proposals for new work
• Creating change orders and tracking project budgets
• Resource allocation on the project
• Main point of contact for all engineers, drafters, and designers on the project
• Approving and editing timesheets for all direct reports
• Directing internal and external meetings pertaining to the project scope/schedule

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to help us with our growing workload. This is a remote position, with preferred locations in San Diego, CA; The Project Manager will schedule and monitor engineering design activities, coordinate with the client, sell new work, create proposals and change orders, and serve as the primary point of contact for project responsibilities. The position involves managing internal personnel and providing technical expertise to inform decisions about schedule, budget, and scope. The position may also include engineering activities such as calculations, modeling, and design for transmission lines, distribution lines, structures, and associated power delivery systems.
