Job summary

Derse is seeking a Manager of Project Management to lead our Pittsburgh area team, overseeing PMs and AutoCAD detailers, ensuring quality, budget adherence, and client satisfaction. The role entails taking on project management duties across assignments and collaborating with cross-functional groups.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of industry leadership, strong communication, and proficiency with PM software, Microsoft Office, and ERP systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and/or 8+ years of relevant industry experience.
• Prior leadership/supervisory experience required.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, PM software, and ERP systems (e.g. JDE).
• Possess strong communication skills.
• Ability to mentor / coach staff, along with strong team-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily functions of Project Management & Detailing departments.
• Coach PMs and detailers to improve decision-making and execution.
• Maintain visibility across active projects and improve processes.
• Review completed work and ensure compliance and budget adherence.
• Manage vendor performance records and cost history.
• Provide real-time technical support to estimators during pre-sale development.
• Conduct performance reviews and approve vacation requests.
• Lead staff training and HR-related matters.
