Canopius is seeking a US Head of Programs to lead the growth and profitability of our US MGA partnerships, combining deep P&C underwriting expertise with cross-functional leadership. You will shape strategy, pricing, and governance while coaching the program team.
The role requires 10+ years in production underwriting, strong leadership, and a proven ability to manage complex stakeholder groups across underwriting, operations, legal, claims and actuarial. Travel may be required.
The US Head of Programs is a senior portfolio management position responsible for the growth, profitability and ongoing stewardship of our network of Managing General Agent (MGA) partnerships in the US. The ideal candidate will not only possess deep specialty Property & Casualty expertise across multiple lines, but they will be adept at working cross-functionally in an organization to manage the operational, actuarial and contractual requirements of a Program. As the Head of Programs, you’ll lead the Canopius Program team and manage the profitable growth of our US P&C portfolio written via MGA partnerships. While business development will play a key part of this role, the ideal candidate will distinguish themselves as an individual that can apply underwriting expertise to craft a Programs strategy which fits within Canopius’s overarching product strategies and is complementary to our Open Market offerings, and they will be known as a proven coach and leader.
Salary: $200,000 - 232,800
