Job description

We are seeking a highly driven and knowledgeable Head of Product (Supplements) / Food Scientist to lead product development, innovation, and compliance for our supplement line. This role bridges scientific expertise with product strategy, ensuring our offerings meet market demand while maintaining the highest standards of safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Product Development & Innovation
  Lead end-to-end development of new supplement products, from ideation to launch.
  Research and apply scientific evidence to formulate safe, effective, and innovative products.
  Oversee ingredient sourcing, testing, and validation for efficacy and safety.
  Collaborate with cross-functional teams (R&D, marketing, supply chain, regulatory).
• Regulatory & Compliance
  Ensure all products comply with local and international food safety regulations (e.g., FDA, EFSA, NPRA).
  Maintain accurate product documentation including formulations, claims substantiation, and labeling.
  Liaise with regulatory bodies and external auditors when required.
• Quality Assurance
  Implement and maintain quality assurance processes across formulation, manufacturing, and packaging.
  Conduct stability studies and ensure products meet shelf-life requirements.
• Market & Strategy
  Analyze consumer trends and competitor products to guide product pipeline.
  Identify growth opportunities in functional foods, nutraceuticals, and supplements.
  Partner with marketing to translate scientific concepts into consumer-friendly messaging.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Science, Nutrition, Biochemistry, or related field. PhD preferred.
• Proven experience (8+ years) in product development, food science, or nutraceuticals.
• Strong knowledge of supplement formulations, raw materials, and clinical substantiation.
• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks governing supplements and functional foods.
• Excellent project management and leadership skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
