Job description

Are you driven to turn fragmented healthcare data into decision-ready insight? Bitscopic is a profitable, employee-owned company founded by engineers, clinicians, and scientists who witnessed the cost of missed signals at the bedside. Our mission is simple: eliminate blind spots by delivering AI-powered, interoperable platforms that convert complex clinical, genomic, and operational data into life-saving action.

Head of Product

Location: Remote — anywhere in the United States

The portfolio you’ll own
  • PraediAlert – real-time infection-control and antimicrobial-stewardship surveillance

  • PraediGene – genomics / PGx workflow and dry lab solution

  • PraediVault – enterprise biobank inventory & workflow management

  • PraediCo – population-level data analytics platform - example use cases - public health surveillance or clinical trial studies

  • Integration & Data-Services line – HL7 Passport, NOVA, BAIMM, and other emerging modules

What success looks like (first 12-18 months)
  • 80-90 % hands-on: manage and prioritize backlog and epics, validate solutions with users, slice scope, ship value every sprint.

  • Manage small PM team; establish operating rituals.

  • Publish a unified quarterlyroadmap tying product OKRs to revenue and GTM goals.

  • Stand up KPI dashboards (adoption, NPS, clinical outcomes, ARR) and lead quarterly portfolio reviews.

  • Deliver at least one major and two minor releases per product on a predictable Scrum/Kanban cadence.

Core responsibilities
  • Own strategy & execution – vision, positioning, pricing, roadmap; optimize trade-offs among clinical impact, engineering capacity, and commercial return.

  • Individual-contributor work – author requirements, groom Jira backlogs, run design reviews, write release notes, demo to customers.

  • People leadership – mentor, unblock, and performance-manage small PM team; instill autonomy and bias for action.

  • Cross-functional glue – collaborate daily with Engineering, UX, Clinical SMEs, Sales, Marketing, Customer Success.

  • Operational rigor – drive continuous delivery using Scrum & Kanban; maintain burn-up charts and release calendars.

  • Continuous discovery – user interviews, prototype tests, competitive scans; translate latent needs into roadmap items.

  • Metric design – help shape north-star metrics and iterate based on data.

  • Risk management – track dependencies, regulatory implications (HIPAA, SaMD, VA security), and mitigation paths.

What you bring
  • 10 + years product-management experience with enterprise healthcare SaaS or HIT; ownership of clinician-facing web apps.

  • Proven ability to juggle multiple products and still hit release dates.

  • Mastery of Agile/Scrum, Kanban, and Jira; data-driven mindset (comfortable with SQL, BI tools).

  • Experience mentoring or managing PMs while remaining an IC.

  • Polished communicator capable of moving from exec briefings to backlog grooming.

  • Strong design sensibility and user-advocacy mindset.

  • Bonus: familiarity with FHIR/HL7, EHR integration, and similar

Why Bitscopic
  • Full autonomy & ownership – you set strategy and execute in a nimble, bias-for-action culture.

  • Mission that matters – our platforms help clinicians prevent infections, accelerate precision medicine, and safeguard public health.

  • Employee-owned & profitable – no investor/VC handcuffs; decisions are fast and close to the work.

  • People over politics – transparent, ego-free environment; most teammates have been here 6 + years.

  • True flexibility – remote-first since 2012; evaluated on outcomes, not hours clocked.

  • Competitive compensation – salary, meaningful stock options, 401(k), top-tier medical/dental/vision, life/LTD, FSA, and family-friendly policies.
