Job summary

Mission Underwriting Managers, LLC is seeking a Head of Product to lead the creation of our product organization and technology strategy. You will identify high-value AI, data, and automation opportunities, translate them into a prioritized roadmap, and build the teams and operating model to execute.

You will collaborate with the CEO and across underwriting, actuarial, claims, distribution, and engineering to drive impact.

Qualifications

• Significant experience leading software/AI product management.
• Experience building product organizations and scaling teams.
• Experience taking products from concept through launch and adoption.
• Experience in AI, machine learning, analytics, or intelligent automation.
• Experience operating in complex, regulated, data-driven industries.
• Strong executive communication, influencing, and leadership skills.
• Entrepreneurial mindset with strategic and tactical execution.

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead the company’s internally built product strategy and AI software strategy.
• Establish a clear product vision aligned with business strategy and long-term goals.
• Identify opportunities to replace, improve, or integrate third-party systems with in-house tech.
• Create a multi-year roadmap to implement agentic AI across MGA portfolios.
• Define governance and decision-making processes for product development.
• Lead the product organization and hire key leaders and experts.
• Communicate priorities, risks, and tradeoffs to the CEO, executive team, and Board.
• Partner with leaders across underwriting, distribution, operations, finance, legal, and engineering.
• Move AI initiatives from experimentation to production.
• Build the product management operating model and processes.
