About Berachain

Berachain is a high-performance EVM-identical Layer 1 blockchain built on the novel Beaconkit framework, leveraging its unique Proof-of-Liquidity (PoL) consensus to accelerate applications and reward users. PoL routes Berachain’s block rewards to the users of applications building in the ecosystem; investing the chain’s native incentives into liquidity, activity, and other unique growth drivers on the network.

Berachain’s mainnet was launched in Feb 2025. As of June 2025, it stands as a top 10 L1 by TVL, and one of the only L1 ecosystems with a means of returning value to its tokenholders through Proof of Liquidity. The native ecosystem consists of dozens of teams across DeFi, DePIN, RWAFi, consumer crypto, gaming, AI and more, with corporate partners including some of the world’s largest brands in sports, entertainment, and payments.

Product has always existed in between a number of other initiatives at Berachain, largely due to the large surface area of expertise required to effectively construct solutions across the entire Berachain stack. Over time, we’ve developed a number of subteams which have effectively executed on individual product roadmaps, and are primed to combine efforts under experienced leadership. The Head of Product would work alongside individual subteam leads (backend, frontend, core, smart contracts etc) to optimize both the function and UX for users and developers on Berachain.

Role Overview

As Head of Product, you will lead the strategy and development of Berachain’s most critical products, including Proof of Liquidity, the BeraHub, and the integrated DeFi stack featuring BEX, Bend, Honey, and other future products. You’ll define and execute a cohesive vision that enhances the utility, accessibility, and scalability of the core Bera stack.

This role requires deep technical fluency in blockchain infrastructure and DeFi primitives, along with a proven ability to lead high-performing teams from concept through deployment.

Key Responsibilities

• Own the Proof of Liquidity product and associated enshrined applications, working closely with engineers and researchers to evolve its design, optimize incentives, and drive validator/user adoption.

• Lead the development of the BeraHub as the coordination and user gateway to Berachain - ensuring it seamlessly integrates staking, governance, access to the core DeFi stack, and discoverability for applications across the ecosystem.

• Define and execute product strategy across the broader native ecosystem: stablecoin, DEX, lending protocol, and staking UX.

• Drive cross-functional collaboration between engineering, design, ecosystem, and BD teams to deliver impactful, user-centric features.

• Translate complex protocol mechanics into intuitive, on-chain user experiences for developers, builders, and end-users.

• Establish and lead a world-class product function, including roadmap planning, spec writing, prioritization, and QA.

• Conduct user research and ecosystem analysis to identify emerging needs and prioritize impactful product opportunities.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in product leadership, with a focus on Layer 1 protocols or DeFi platforms.

• Deep technical understanding of blockchain systems, staking mechanisms, mechanism design, DeFi, and tokenomics.

• Proven ownership of complex, cross-functional product development — ideally involving consensus systems or protocol-level infrastructure.

• Strong familiarity with DeFi primitives and integrated ecosystems (AMMs, lending markets, stablecoins, staking).

• Ability to align product vision with evolving community, governance, and market dynamics in crypto-native environments.

• Excellent communication and leadership skills, with experience managing diverse technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to Have

• Hands-on experience launching protocol products from testnet to mainnet.

• Technical background (Solidity, Golang, Typescript, Javascript etc)

• Experienced managing cross-functional remote teams
