Job summary

True Spec Golf, the global leader in custom club fitting and building, is seeking a Head of Procurement to own the entire purchasing function at our Scottsdale headquarters. You will negotiate with OEMs, manage cash flow, and drive category strategy with accountability for inventory metrics and profitability.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in procurement, a strong analytical background with ERP/POS data, and experience in specialty retail.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required or preferred.
• 5+ years of procurement or supply chain experience with ownership of the buying function.
• Proven track record in vendor negotiation with measurable outcomes.
• Strong analytical foundation using ERP/POS data and planning tools.
• Experience in specialty retail, consumer goods, or high-SKU business; golf familiarity is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee weekly purchasing: translate inventory and turnover targets into purchase orders for heads, shafts, grips, and accessories.
• Monitor daily DOH and turn performance; adjust buying to meet 8x annual goals.
• Build cash-flow‑based ordering logic and flag risk; escalate to COO/finance when needed.
• Negotiate terms, pricing, and contracts with top OEMs and vendors.
• Maintain contract documentation and ensure early-pay discounts are captured.
• Benchmark costs and drive a continuous cost-reduction program by category and supplier.
• Track supplier performance (fill rate, OTIF, lead times) and conduct business reviews.
• Maintain executive-level OEM relationships to manage availability and launch timing.
