Job summary

Roblox is seeking a Senior Director, Privacy, Product and Platform Security to lead Product Security, Platform Security, and Privacy Engineering. This role will guide security strategy, design principles, and cross-functional collaboration to protect Roblox’s growing platform and data assets.

The position offers a high-impact leadership path and requires extensive experience across security disciplines, policy, and large-scale systems.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of security engineering or privacy engineering experience including leadership of large teams.
• Track record of delivering measurable security outcomes across large-scale products or platforms.
• Experience embedding security and privacy into SDLC with architecture, standards, tooling, automation, and prioritization.
• Strong systems thinking and judgment across cloud, hybrid, distributed, containerized, and data-intensive environments.
• People-centered leadership with ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive cross-functional initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Set the vision, strategy, and multi-year roadmap for Product Security, Platform Security, and Privacy Engineering.
• Lead and grow a high-performing team of managers and senior engineers.
• Establish security and privacy architecture principles for Roblox products, production platforms, and data systems.
• Raise the security bar through reviews, threat modeling, secure design, testing, and risk-based remediation.
• Drive hardened platforms at scale and partner with Infrastructure on foundational controls.
• Advance Privacy Engineering with privacy-by-design practices and scalable controls.
• Translate regulatory commitments into engineering requirements and durable solutions.
• Own cross-functional priorities, metrics, and executive reporting for security and privacy initiatives.
