Job summary

Cuhaci & Peterson Architects seeks an experienced Manager of Permitting Services to oversee the Permitting Department and coordinate with project teams on permit processing across local, state, and federal regulators.

The role requires strong leadership, extensive regulatory knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines while communicating effectively with clients and agencies. A self-starter with a valid driver’s license is essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or 10–12 years’ experience in a professional architectural/engineering firm with government affairs experience.
  • Strong leadership, analytical and negotiating skills are required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, and ability to persuasively speak before large groups.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop and implement a comprehensive government relations program that includes state and local government relations.
  • Monitors and provides advice on state legislation and regulation that could impact CP.
  • Work with senior management to increase CP’s visibility with elected officials, regulatory agencies, and their staff.
  • Oversees the processing of permits, projects, reports and correspondences with regulatory agencies at local, state and federal levels.
  • Manage, train and lead Permitting team and direct staff according to timeline and priority of projects.
