Job summary

Fourth Floor is seeking an experienced Packaging Manager to lead development, design, and production of packaging for home décor and textiles. You will guide a team of packaging professionals, collaborate with design, brand, vendors, and factories, and ensure high-quality, cost-efficient solutions delivered on schedule.

The role requires strong leadership, graphic packaging expertise, and proficiency in Illustrator/Photoshop, with experience coordinating overseas manufacturing and photography

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in packaging graphic design, development, and production.
• Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Proficiency in Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Strong Microsoft Office skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration across all levels.
• Highly detail-oriented with strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Experience with overseas factories, suppliers, and production partners.
• Knowledge of textile/home décor industry is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Lead, manage, and train a team of packaging professionals.
• Oversee packaging development from initial concepts through mockups, production, and final approval.
• Ensure packaging meets brand aesthetics, consumer needs, manufacturing capabilities, quality standards, and customer requirements.
• Develop packaging specifications and collaborate with overseas factories and agents to manage costs.
• Partner with overseas factories and agents throughout prototype development, press proofs, and final TOP sample approvals.
• Manage timelines, milestones, follow-ups, and communication to ensure timely delivery.
• Collaborate with brand teams and customers to meet packaging expectations.
• Develop and maintain relationships with third-party packaging vendors and suppliers.
• Coordinate packaging photography and related projects.
• Lead internal critiques of new packaging concepts.
• Work with local packaging suppliers on mockups and presentation materials.
• Organize packaging samples, artwork, mechanicals, specifications, invoices, and documentation.
• Proofread packaging mechanicals and artwork prior to release.
• Create and edit packaging design artwork using Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Support packaging photography, including photo editing and preparation of imagery.
• Take ownership of packaging-related functions within the PLM system.
