Job summary

Forvis Mazars seeks a Director of Outsourced Accounting Services to lead client engagements and manage high-performing teams in a dynamic, compliance-driven environment.

You will build executive-level relationships, oversee end-to-end outsourced accounting, and drive process improvements across client functions while leveraging CaseWare, Bill.com, and other tools. A CPA is preferred, with 9+ years of experience in accounting operations.

Qualifications

• 9+ years of experience in public accounting or organizational accounting operations, including accounting system workflows and supervision of accounting, payroll, and sales tax functions.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain trusted relationships with executive stakeholders, aligning services with client goals and delivering high-impact insights.
• Lead end-to-end outsourced accounting engagements with seamless integration of systems, processes, and technologies.
• Identify and implement improvements to enhance accuracy, efficiency, and compliance across client accounting functions.
• Oversee full-cycle accounting and ensure timely, accurate financial reporting in line with regulatory and firm standards.
• Review financial deliverables for consistency and compliance, upholding quality and integrity.
• Drive adoption of innovative tools to streamline workflows and enhance client value.
• Partner with leadership on proposals and presentations to support firm growth.
• Represent the firm at industry events and forums to strengthen market presence.
• Mentor and develop high-performing teams, fostering accountability and growth.
