Job summary

Fanatics TCG, Seattle-based within the Fanatics Collectibles family, seeks a bold Director of Organized Play to design and run global OP programs. You’ll shape qualification pathways, prize support, and formats while aligning with product and marketing for cohesive game development and go‑to‑market plans.

You will lead a multi‑title portfolio, partner with leadership and retailers, and build a scalable organization to engage players and communities worldwide.

Qualifications

• Experience designing scalable OP programs from local events to premier circuits.
• Ability to build and manage judge/TO programs and training systems.
• Strong product and commercial instincts: link OP to health and growth of the game.
• Proven cross‑functional collaboration with design, marketing, retail teams.
• Experience in early‑stage environments and defining new programs.

Responsibilities

• Own the strategy, design, and execution of Fanatics TCG’s organized play programs across the full competitive spectrum.
• Define the structural philosophy of the OP ecosystem: qualifications, prize support, formats, and tiers.
• Build and manage judge and tournament organizer programs with training and community support.
• Coordinate with Retail Ecosystems to align event formats, product timing, and store support.
• Work with Leadership, Product, Marketing, and Commercial teams to integrate OP into game design and go-to-market plans.
• Define and track key OP metrics and use insights to improve programs.
• Represent OP with external stakeholders including tournament organizers and local game stores.
• Build a lean, high‑impact team capable of running multiple world‑class programs.
