About Simulation95
Simulation95 builds AI for healthcare and life sciences. We work with researchers, engineers, and domain experts to turn specialized knowledge into useful tools. Our work emphasizes reliable evaluation, secure handling of information, and applications grounded in real workflows.
About the role
You will run Simulation95's business operations and turn leadership decisions into completed work. With a strong finance background, you will oversee accounting, coordinate legal and business structuring work, manage specialist advisers, and drive cybersecurity policy implementation. This is a hands-on executive role with responsibility for financial discipline, operational follow-through, and getting the company's practical needs resolved.
Responsibilities
- Oversee accounting and bookkeeping, monthly close, payroll, invoicing, collections, budgets, cash forecasts, and payment controls; review reports and resolve discrepancies with accounting staff.
- Manage legal workflows with in-house and outside counsel, including contracts, renewals, corporate records, filing calendars, and follow-through on legal obligations.
- Coordinate business structuring and implement approved entity, subsidiary, ownership, and partnership arrangements with legal and tax advisers, including banking and administrative setup.
- Find, evaluate, and engage accountants, lawyers, cybersecurity consultants, and other specialists; negotiate scopes and fees within approved authority and hold advisers accountable for delivery.
- Drive cybersecurity policy rollout with security and technical teams: staff training, access reviews, onboarding and offboarding, vendor checks, remediation tracking, and incident readiness.
- Run purchasing, vendor administration, people operations, and other business needs; assign owners and deadlines, remove blockers, and report completed work and unresolved decisions.
Qualifications
- Substantial finance or accounting experience, with a strong understanding of financial statements, bookkeeping, monthly close, cash management, budgeting, and internal controls.
- Experience leading business operations and managing accounting staff, external accountants, or other professional advisers, with direct responsibility for results.
- Practical experience coordinating business structuring, corporate administration, and legal work with counsel and tax advisers.
- Experience implementing cybersecurity or compliance policies across a business, coordinating technical owners, staff adoption, documentation, and corrective actions.
- A record of sourcing capable consultants, managing fees and deliverables, and completing operational work independently with sound judgment and attention to detail.
Preferred experience
- CPA, CMA, or comparable finance qualification; experience establishing or operating multiple entities and coordinating advisers across jurisdictions.
- Experience in technology, AI, healthcare, or professional services, including practical implementation of security controls and audit readiness.
