Job summary

Welch Equipment Company seeks a Continuous Improvement Director to drive enterprise-wide Lean initiatives and Kaizen culture. The role partners with executives to identify bottlenecks, prioritize projects, and implement standardized processes that improve performance, engagement, and customer experience.

The position emphasizes building organizational capability in Lean principles, tracking outcomes with metrics, and sustaining continuous-improvement programs across all departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations Management, Engineering, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, or related field.
• Master’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead company-wide continuous-improvement strategy and Kaizen culture.
• Lead lean management initiatives including RLM/TLM, ASEC/5S, A3 problem solving, standard work, process optimization, waste reduction and cross-functional projects.
• Partner with executives to identify bottlenecks, create charters, and set measurable targets.
• Develop dashboards and operating reviews showing baseline performance, progress, verified outcomes and sustainment.
• Build internal capability by coaching leaders and facilitating lean workshops across departments.
• Coordinate with training resources to document, train, adopt and maintain new processes.
