Job Description:
The Head of New Business Sales will be responsible for driving the acquisition of new clients and expanding our market presence. You will initiate contact and establish relationships with a wide range of financial institutions to introduce Parameta’s unique OTC market data offering. You will need to be a strategic thinker with a proven track record in sales leadership, a deep understanding of the sales process, and the ability to motivate and lead a high-performing sales team.
Role Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy focused on acquiring new logos and expanding market share.
- Recruit, lead, mentor, and develop a team of sales professionals, fostering a high-performance culture that drives results.
- Proactively identify new revenue opportunities – conduct thorough market research to identify trends, competitive landscape, and opportunities for growth.
- Implement best practices for the sales process, ensuring efficient lead generation, qualification, and closing strategies.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including potential clients, partners, and industry influencers.
- Set and achieve ambitious sales targets, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
- Work closely with marketing, product, and customer success teams to align sales efforts with overall business goals. Drive contract negotiations in partnership with Legal.
- Monitor and report on sales performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations to senior leadership.
Experience / Competences
Essential
- Significant experience in new sales, with several years in a leadership role focused on new business acquisition.
- Established network of contacts within relevant industries to leverage for business growth and partnerships.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a competitive environment, showcasing a results-driven approach.
- Strong understanding of OTC Fixed Income, Derivatives, and Energy & Commodities markets, enabling effective client engagement and strategy formulation.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to articulate complex concepts clearly and persuasively.
- Ability to analyse data and make informed decisions, utilising metrics to drive strategy and performance.
- Experience in developing and executing successful sales strategies, demonstrating leadership in driving growth initiatives.
- Strong people leadership skills with the ability to coach and develop the team to deliver results.
- Proficient with Salesforce and sales analytics tools, ensuring effective management of sales processes and performance tracking.
