What You’ll Do

• Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement national mortgage operations strategies that align with company goals and drive efficiency.
• Operational Oversight: Manage end-to-end mortgage operations, ensuring seamless processing, underwriting, closing, and servicing.
• Team Development: Lead and mentor a high-performing team, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
• Process Engineering: Design and refine workflows to optimize performance, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.
• Compliance Management: Ensure all operations adhere to federal and state regulations, maintaining the highest standards of compliance.
• Builder Relations: Serve as the primary liaison with builder partners, aligning operational strategies to meet their unique needs.
• Technology Integration: Leverage technology to streamline operations, including the implementation of new systems and tools.
• Performance Metrics: Establish and monitor KPIs to assess operational effectiveness and inform strategic decisions.

What We’re Looking For

• Based in Detroit, MI with the ability to work in the office four days a week
• Deep operational experience in mortgage lending
• Strong leadership and management background, ideally with experience running a centralized office or national platform
• Experience working within or alongside builder mortgage operations (preferred but not required)
• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, banking, or a related field (MBA is a plus)
• Proven P&L experience and ability to lead across departments and partner networks
• Operationally rigorous—structured, disciplined, and highly detailed
• Strong communicator with the ability to represent our company to builder partners, Rocket Pro teams, and executive leadership
• Tech-forward, solution-oriented, and energized by scale
• Ready to challenge the status quo and help create a category-defining company
