Reddit is seeking an experienced Senior Engineering Manager to lead the Media Ranking ML teams, focusing on improving relevance, personalization, and discovery for the core product. You will guide a high-impact group of ML engineers and shape initiatives that affect hundreds of millions of daily users.

You will drive technical strategy, mentor engineers, and collaborate across teams to deliver scalable, responsible AI solutions in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building and managing high-performing ML teams.
• Hands-on experience with large-scale production ML systems (transformers, sequence models, or LLMs).
• Strong understanding of recommender systems, evaluation, and measurement strategies.
• Ability to develop and communicate a clear technical strategy aligned with company objectives.
• Proven ability to collaborate across functions and drive responsible AI initiatives.

• Define technical vision and long-term roadmap for Feed Relevance.
• Coach and develop your team to maximize impact.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to identify opportunities and set expectations.
• Oversee design, development, and optimization of relevance, discovery, and content distribution systems.
• Partner with platform and infra teams to advance AI-powered solutions for Reddit.
• Maintain high standards for performance, reliability, and responsible AI principles.
• Support recruiting to attract and hire diverse ML engineers.
