Job summary

Suno is building the world’s first creative entertainment platform. We are seeking a Lead of ML Data Operations to create and lead a new function responsible for sourcing and developing data powering our models.

You will collaborate with Research, Product, and Engineering to define data needs, manage external labeling vendors, and build scalable data pipelines. This role carries real ownership and ambiguity in equal measure.

Qualifications

• 6–8+ years in ML data operations, with experience managing external labeling vendors or internal systems.
• Proven track record building a new function or team at director level.
• Comfort working with high autonomy where goals aren’t fully defined.
• Strong cross‑functional alignment with Research, Product, and Engineering.

Responsibilities

• Source, evaluate, and manage relationships with external data labeling vendors from scoping to contracts.
• Partner with ML researchers to translate data needs into concrete plans.
• Identify opportunities to improve data collection in collaboration with product and engineering.
• Build and lead the data operations team, systems, and processes for reliable sourcing.
• Contribute to a data-driven modeling culture within a close-knit team of researchers and engineers.
• Support Suno’s mission of enabling creative fulfillment for everyone.
