Job summary

GlaxoSmithKline is seeking a Director of Medical Communications and Scientific Training to lead the US Medical Communications strategy for one or more vaccines assets. The role drives an omni-channel plan to improve patient outcomes and ensures the US voice within the Global Integrated Medical Content Team.

This position requires strong leadership of cross-functional teams, expertise in scientific storytelling, and governance aligned with GSK policies.

Qualifications

• PhD, PharmD, MD, or advanced science degree (MS/MPH) required.
• 3+ years' experience in Medical Affairs or Scientific Communications.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams.
• Experience interpreting, analyzing, and organizing scientific data to tell an impactful story.

Responsibilities

• Provide US voice on Global Integrated Medical Content Team (GIMCT) and accountability for global medical content.
• Develop, execute and update the US Medical Integrated Scientific Communication plan (ISCP); ensure relevancy of the Scientific Narrative for US market.
• Lead the Medical Communication Strategy and objectives for the asset across formats.
• Deliver omni-channel medical communications with the US Medical Digital and Tech team.
• Develop KPIs and use data analytics to optimize customer experience in partnership with US Medical Analytics.
• Maintain the medical curriculum and scientific training plan with field medical leadership.
• Provide Medical Business Leadership for vaccine congresses and related activities.
• Apply medical governance aligned with GSK policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with Global Medical, Field Medical, Clinical Development, and Commercial.
