Job summary

AllTek Partners in Pittsburgh is seeking a Mechanical Department Head to oversee mechanical engineering operations in a heavy industrial setting focused on steel and metals.

You will lead a multidisciplinary team, drive innovative solutions, uphold safety and quality standards, and interface with clients and vendors.

Candidates should have 10+ years in mechanical engineering and a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering; PE is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited program.
• Proven leadership experience managing engineering teams.
• Strong background in mechanical systems within steel mills, processing facilities, or heavy industrial environments.
• Excellent communication skills, with ability to interface effectively with clients, vendors, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, specifications, and standards.
• Ability to develop engineering standards, quality procedures, and technical documentation.
