Job summary

Santa Fe County is seeking a seasoned professional to oversee computerized mass appraisal modeling and valuation processes. You will lead staff, manage CMA systems, and ensure compliance with state standards while providing technical support to appraisal teams.

The role requires expertise in regression analysis, advanced Excel, and public administration knowledge, with oversight of yearly reappraisal cycles and complex property types.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field.
• Minimum years of experience in mass or regression appraisal and supervision.
• Experience with computerized mass appraisal modeling and analysis.
• Substitution rules for education or certification accepted.

Responsibilities

• Oversees development and implementation of statistical models for ad valorem valuation.
• Supervises staff, provides training, and evaluates performance.
• Manages CMA software for valuation of land and improvements.
• Performs system administration for internal modeling programs.
• Provides data and technical support to chief appraisers and staff.
• Assists in defense of valuation protests with testimony as needed.
• Attends boards and plans strategic actions for management.
