Holton-Arms School seeks a Head of Lower School to lead a division serving Grades 3-6. The role requires an experienced educator with leadership in a Lower School, a deep understanding of child development, and a proven track record in faculty growth and inclusive community building.

The Head reports to senior administration and collaborates across divisions to ensure a joyful and rigorous learning environment.

Qualifications

• Experienced educator with leadership in a Lower School setting.
• Deep understanding of child development for Grades 3-6.
• Proven ability to recruit, develop, and retain exceptional faculty and staff.
• Strong communication, listening, and relationship-building skills.
• Commitment to building an inclusive community where belonging is advanced.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Lower School division, aligning programs with Holton-Arms' strategic plan and Portrait of a Graduate.
• Oversee curriculum, pedagogy, student life, and community building to support student thriving.
• Partner with admissions for strategic enrollment work and maintaining joyful school culture.
• Collaborate with Brown House leadership to ensure on-site care aligns with the school mission.
• Model leadership with integrity, collaboration, and accountability across divisions.
