Job summary

Ring Inc. seeks a Chief Mechanical Officer to lead locomotive maintenance, regulatory compliance, and fleet optimization. This executive role blends strategic oversight with hands-on technical leadership across EMD and GE locomotives.

You will ensure CFR Title 49 compliance, Blue Card documentation, EPA standards, and long-term maintenance planning to minimize downtime and ensure zero out-of-service periods during peak demand. Weekly to bi-weekly travel is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years in locomotive mechanical maintenance and railroad operations.
• Ability to work in shop and field environments in varying weather.
• Strong knowledge of CFR 49 regulations and Blue Card requirements.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics.

Responsibilities

• Ensure regulatory compliance and safety per CFR Title 49 and Blue Card documentation.
• Provide technical leadership for EMD and GE locomotives and other engine platforms.
• Plan maintenance schedules to maximize fleet power availability and minimize downtime.
• Develop and deliver training on troubleshooting techniques and EPA compliance.
