Job summary

Morton is seeking a Legal AI Solutions Lead to design, test, and implement AI workflows within a large professional services environment. The role blends hands‑on AI development with project management and stakeholder engagement to translate business needs into practical AI-enabled solutions.

You will work closely with attorneys, practice leaders, IT, and vendors to identify use cases, evaluate capabilities, and drive adoption of AI across legal and business processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; JD or other advanced degree preferred. Equivalent combinations of education and relevant legal experience may be considered.
• 4+ years of experience within a law firm, corporate legal department, or similar legal environment.
• 2+ years of hands‑on experience working with artificial intelligence technologies.
• Strong understanding of legal workflows and experience working directly with attorneys.
• Demonstrated ability to identify business problems and translate them into practical technology or AI solutions.
• Experience evaluating, testing, implementing, or supporting AI tools and use cases.
• Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple initiatives, priorities, and deadlines.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across legal, technology, leadership, and administrative teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to nontechnical audiences.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem‑solving capabilities.
• Ability to quickly learn and evaluate emerging technologies.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Comfortable operating in a fast‑paced environment with competing priorities.
• Collaborative, adaptable, and comfortable receiving feedback and working across organizational boundaries.
• Interest in applying generative AI, AI assistants, copilots, and emerging AI technologies to complex professional workflows.
• Ability to travel or work outside normal business hours occasionally as business needs require.

Responsibilities

• Identify legal and business workflows that could benefit from AI and develop solutions to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
• Design, build, test, and implement AI agents and other AI‑enabled solutions for attorneys and business professionals.
• Partner directly with attorneys and practice leaders to understand business challenges, scope AI use cases, and develop practical solutions.
• Evaluate AI use cases and provide recommendations that support broader organizational AI initiatives.
• Lead discussions with stakeholders to understand complex AI‑related challenges and translate requirements into actionable solutions.
• Collaborate with legal teams, IT, vendors, and other business groups to troubleshoot issues and improve AI solutions.
