Overview
This position leads and oversees the activities of the National Key Account Management Unit. The position is primarily responsible for leading a team of Key Account Managers to achieve monthly and annual objectives in Sales, Forecast, Accounts Receivable (AR), Returns, and Customer Call. The role includes coaching and mentoring to ensure a well-trained and highly motivated team, and leads business development strategies and implementation to ensure that all business partners' needs and expectations are met.
Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership & Growth
- Develops territory-specific growth strategies, collaborates on sales forecasts, and ensures execution of trade marketing and stocking plans with business partners.
- Team Development & Coaching
- Leads a high-performing team through objective setting, training, on-the-job coaching (OJC), and motivational activities, while ensuring timely recruitment and adherence to company values.
- Operational Excellence
- Oversees accurate and timely submission of reports (e.g., WER, forecasts), validates team outputs, and maintains organized documentation and company assets.
- Customer & Stakeholder Engagement
- Builds strong relationships with key decision-makers, supports business presentations, and fosters cross-functional collaboration to drive business development.
- Data-Driven Decision Making
- Continuously updates and analyzes insights to support organic growth and ensures strategic resource planning and execution.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree from any reputable university
- Minimum seven (7) years of working experience with at least 5 years managerial experience and has good understanding of the Pharmaceutical, Medical Devices, and other Healthcare related products
- Extensive knowledge and solid foundation/working experience in the Drugstore, Wholesaler and Sub distributor channels
- Strong background in a distribution setup, and experience gained from the pharmaceutical and/or retail industry; excellent influence and negotiation skills, communication skills, coaching and mentoring, sales forecasting, as well as advanced knowledge in Microsoft Office
