Head of Katapult Pro Client Services
Member of the Leadership Team
Job Summary
Katapult is a leading software development firm specializing in engineering solutions that provide reliable utilities for people. We build our software out of work we perform ourselves. Our engineering services teams handle utility projects locally, and what they learn becomes the platform we sell nationally and internationally. Katapult Pro supports over 400 active clients and thousands of users. Click here to create a free read-only account to view a demo job in Katapult Pro
We operate as an EOS company, so we don't have traditional titles like CEO and COO. We have a visionary and an integrator who, along with the leadership team, lead Katapult. This seat sits on that leadership team, reports to the integrator, and is responsible for the entire software business unit.
In this role you own the Katapult Pro P&L and the three functions that drive it. Product decides what to build and why. Development builds it right for the customer and the platform. Growth gets it into the hands of prospects and customers through marketing, sales, client success, and support. You don't have to be an expert in all three, but you have to be confident and competent enough to lead them and make the tough calls when their priorities compete.
We are looking for someone who lives out our core values of Create Maximum Value, People Matter, Growth Mindset, and Fair Exchange, who wants this challenge, and who is willing to carry the responsibility that comes with it.
This full-time position is based at our Dillsburg, PA office.
Expected Job Roles
- Leads, manages, and holds accountable the Product, Development, and Growth seats on the Katapult Pro Client Services Team.
- Owns the Katapult Pro Client Services profit and loss statement, predictions, and results
- Keeps the roadmap, release cadence, and go to market working from one plan that ties back to the company vision and targets.
- Builds and owns the Katapult Pro scorecard, with emphasis on leading indicators of success against division and company targets.
- Maintains an excellent working relationship with the engineering services team.
What We Are Looking For
- Software leadership experience and industry background both help, but we weigh unique ability and transferable skill higher. This seat takes on the hardest problems in the software business and owns how they turn out.
- Alignment with our core values. Create Maximum Value, People Matter, Growth Mindset, and Fair Exchange. We're looking for someone who already lives these out and can show us where.
- A history of carrying significant responsibility and stewarding it well.
- Someone with high discernment. This seat makes decisions all day that don't have a clean answer. We need someone with a track record of making them and who's energized by the work.
- A natural galvanizer. Knowing when to delegate, when to advise, and when to own the call is step one. The real work starts after the decision, in communicating it across a large team and seeing the change all the way through.
Industry and Position Specific Experience
- Not having these won't rule you out, but candidates who bring them along with everything above will rise to the top of our list.
- Experience running a software or SaaS business, or a substantial piece of one
- Background in product, engineering, marketing, sales, or client success
- Experience in utilities, telecom, or another operationally complex industry
- Prior P&L ownership at any scale
