National Life Group is seeking a seasoned AVP, Technology Finance and Partner Management to own the IT budget, forecasting, and financial governance for a large technology organization. Qualifications

• CPA license is required.
• Minimum of bachelor's degree in a related field and at least 15 years of progressive experience in IT financial management, vendor management and technology operations.
• At least 10 years of experience directly performing accounting function and Finance Controller for a complex IT organization.
• At least 6 years of hands-on experience in a vendor management leadership role managing multiple large-scale IT vendors in a highly diverse environment.
• Demonstrated success leading negotiations for complex multi-million dollar technology contracts.
• Experience leading and developing teams.
• Proven experience in Life/Annuity Insurance will be considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Oversee IT financials with forecasting, spend reporting, and budgeting above $100M, coordinating with Finance and IT departments.
• Negotiate and contract for technology-related agreements including MSAs and SOWs.
• Improve supplier governance, track savings and cost attribution, and lead cost-reduction initiatives.
• Lead contract policy enforcement, terms negotiations, and risk management for multi-year contracts.
• Collaborate with Legal, Risk, and executives to mitigate third-party, data, AI, and regulatory risks.
• Lead IT vendor governance programs (QBRs/MBRs), and manage vendor relationships and escalations.
• Mentor IT finance staff and lead cross-functional teams on projects and cost-reduction efforts.
