Head of Investor Relations & Capital Formation

DGB is an early‑stage venture studio and fund founded by a group of prominent investors. We back and actively build more than 40 blockchain, AI, fintech and prop‑tech startups, combining first‑check capital with deep operator support and the global Draper network.

Role Summary

The Head of Investor Relations & Capital Formation will professionalize and scale our fundraising and LP‑management function. You will design best‑practice processes, nurture world‑class relationships and drive consistent capital commitments for current and future fund vehicles. This role assumes prior experience with deep relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Fundraising Strategy & Execution—Create and run multi‑segment campaigns (high-net-worth individuals, family offices, FoFs, corporates, crypto‑native allocators) to meet or exceed fund targets.
  • LP Relationship Management—Own the full LP lifecycle: onboarding, customized reporting, quarterly updates, AGM production and ongoing service excellence.
  • Reporting & Infrastructure—Implement ILPA‑aligned templates, CRM, data‑room and KPI dashboards; drive adoption across the partner team.
  • Market Positioning & Storytelling—Craft clear narratives that translate complex Web3/AI themes for traditional investors; represent DGB and portfolio at conferences and in media.
  • Team Leadership—Coach and mentor a small IR analyst group; instill KPI‑driven discipline and continuous improvement culture.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • New LP relationships sourced and converted

Required Qualifications

  • 10 + years leading investor relations, capital formation or fundraising within venture, private‑equity or other alternative‑asset funds.
  • Demonstrated success closing commitments from institutional LPs and family offices.
  • Mastery of fund‑formation mechanics, DDQs, data‑room management and Reg D/506(c) frameworks.
  • Proven ability to implement CRM and reporting tech stacks.
  • Exceptional written, verbal and presentation skills; adept at simplifying technical concepts.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; MBA, CFA or CAIA preferred.
  • Base Salary: Highly competitive compensation package
  • Annual Performance Bonus: target % of base, tied to KPIs
