Job summary

BitGo is seeking a Head of Internal Audit to lead the third line of defense across global operations and drive SOX/ICFR compliance. You will manage internal controls, coordinate with external auditors, and advise senior leadership on risk and controls in a fast-moving digital asset environment.

The role requires deep experience in financial services or technology, with strong communication skills and a track record of building scalable audit programs.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of progressive experience in internal audit or public accounting.
• Deep expertise in SOX/ICFR compliance including testing and deficiency assessment.
• Hands-on experience coordinating SOC 1 and SOC 2 readiness and examinations.
• Experience auditing regulated financial services entities and understanding regulatory landscape.
• Proven ability to manage co-sourced audit providers and ensure quality and timeliness.
• Strong executive presence with ability to present findings to Boards and C-suite.

Responsibilities

• Own and mature SOX compliance framework including ICFR testing.
• Lead SOC 1, SOC 2, and CCSS audits across BitGo’s entities.
• Direct co-sourced audit resources for planning and execution of audits.
• Coordinate with external auditors and align on scope and timing for audits.
• Report audit results and remediation status to Board and Audit Committee.
• Develop risk-based internal audit plan aligned to strategy and regulations.
• Partner with Legal, Compliance, Finance, and Technology to address control gaps.
