Job summary

Unum is seeking a Director, Inclusive Design & Accessibility to lead a centralized UX design practice and embed accessible, user-centered practices across the software development lifecycle. This campus-based, onsite role combines people leadership with governance, education, tooling, and cross-functional influence.

This role partners with Product, Engineering, Legal, Risk, and Compliance to embed accessibility requirements, define standards, and drive WCAG conformance in digital experiences

Qualifications

• Experience leading UX design teams and talent development.
• Ability to translate accessibility standards into practical implementation.
• Strong knowledge of WCAG, ADA, Section 508.

Responsibilities

• Lead UX design talent and practice across products.
• Advance inclusive, user-centered design throughout the SDLC.
• Define accessibility practices and governance with cross-functional partners.
• Measure adoption and roadmap improvements for accessibility.
