Page Executive is seeking a Head of Human Resources North America to lead a standalone HR division for the region, reporting to the North America Divisional CEO. You will shape the HR strategy, build culture, and drive global initiatives within a fast-paced manufacturing environment across seven sites.

You will partner with regional leaders and the North America CEO, manage talent development and succession, and oversee competitive benefits and safety programs.

Qualifications

  • 15+ years of HR experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Minimum 5 years of HR leadership experience leading a region.
  • Experience working for a European company or global organization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; extensive employee relations knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all HR responsibilities shaping the overall HR strategy, vision, and execution.
  • Lead HR transformation with strategic initiatives for sustainable impact.
  • Serve as trusted advisor to the North America CEO and business partner to leadership.
  • Drive change management with executive management to cultivate a can-do culture.
  • Mentor and develop regional HR leaders to achieve business objectives.
  • Establish a culture aligned with corporate values and regional goals.
  • Participate in workforce planning and strategic regional/global projects.
  • Partner with plants and HR Managers to meet objectives and manage performance.
  • Ensure robust talent management, development, and succession planning.
  • Develop HR policies and programs for organizational development and training.
  • Own benefits, Health & Safety, and employee services packages.

About Our Client

Our client for the Head of Human Resources North America opportunity is a global manufacturer globally headquartered in Europe and serves customers globally across automotive, industrial, construction, mining, packaging, energy, and more.

Job Description

The Head of Human Resources North America will lead a standalone division in charge of the HR team and functions for North America reporting to the North America Divisional CEO. This role will lead the North America region but will also be involved with various global projects and initiatives. The Head of HR will assess the current HR team and structure to ensure the function and group are fit for purpose to support business needs and objectives. The Head of HR will have a strong track record and focus on building a strong culture not only within HR, but within the entire business and region. This division has 7 manufacturing sites with roughly $1B in annual revenue.

  • Oversee all HR responsibilities shaping the overall HR strategy, vision, and execution
  • Led HR transformation implementing strategic initiatives that will have meaningful and sustainable impact and outcomes
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and business partner to the North America CEO
  • Drive change management processes by working with executive management team creating a positive mentality and can-do attitude within corporate and plant environments
  • Lead, mentor, guide and develop regional HR leadership and team members to deliver key business objectives
  • Establish and drive a culture based on success in line with the company's corporate values
  • Participate in business strategy planning and workforce planning as requested.
  • Participate in strategic projects within the region and globally
  • Partner with manufacturing plants and HR Managers to ensure plant performance and objectives are being met.
  • Ensure organization a strong talent management and development process and program to ensure continued employee growth and organizational succession planning
  • Build effective relationships to support all employee relations issues, ensure full compliance with internal and local labor legislation
  • Drive talent management, talent development, and succession planning developing leadership pipelines
  • Develop HR policies and programs for organizational development, planning & training
  • Own, maintain and create competitive benefits, Health & Safety and employee services package
  • Work on education and development programs to ensure that we attract, grow and retain talent at all levels within our organization.
  • Create standardized HR policies and procedures across the region
  • Implement and drive digital and analytics within the HR function to improve reporting and decision making
The Successful Applicant
  • Bachelor's Degree required in Human Resources, Business or related, MBA preferred
  • 15 plus years of HR experience within a manufacturing environment
  • Minimum of 5 years of HR leadership experience leading a region
  • Prior experience working for a European company - big plus, but must have experience working in a global organization
  • Manufacturing industry experience is required
  • Ability to deliver results in a fast-paced environment with competing and changing priorities
  • Proven record of building and sustaining a strong positive culture within an organization
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong background in employee relations and legal compliance, labor laws, recruitment and selections, performance management, compensation and change management.
  • HR Project Management skills
  • Strong communication skills verbal and written with open and direct communication style
  • Ability to influence coach management and leadership teams
  • Ability to travel 25-30% across the region
