Job summary

Century Companies, Inc. is seeking a Heavy Civil Construction Equipment Operations Manager to provide strategic leadership for our equipment fleet across multiple construction divisions.

You will oversee maintenance, repair operations, transport, and facility support to maximize uptime and safety. The ideal candidate will develop budgets, track operating costs, analyze lifecycle data, and lead technology adoption (telematics, GPS, maintenance systems) while building a skilled, safety‑driven team

Qualifications

• Ten+ years of leadership in heavy equipment maintenance, fleet management, or construction operations.
• Strong understanding of heavy civil construction equipment and lifecycle management.
• Experience budgeting maintenance and operating costs.
• Excellent leadership, organization, and communication skills.
• Experience with maintenance management systems and technology integration.

Responsibilities

• Lead fleet and equipment operations across multiple construction divisions.
• Oversee preventative maintenance, repairs, inspections, and fleet readiness.
• Develop and manage department budgets and cost analyses.
• Manage equipment acquisition, replacement, rentals, and disposal.
• Lead adoption of maintenance systems, telematics, and related software.
• Supervise staff and participate in recruiting and workforce planning.
• Maintain strong vendor and service-provider relationships.
• Promote a safe work environment in compliance with OSHA, MSHA, and DOT.
