Job summary

Agtonomy is seeking a Head of Hardware to lead our hardware organization across electrical, mechanical and systems engineering in San Francisco. You will own the hardware vision, strategy and execution roadmap, aligning with company goals and accelerating product delivery.

You will build and mentor a high-performing, multidisciplinary team, partner with software, product, operations, test and supply chain leaders, and oversee the full lifecycle from concept through production, ensuring cost,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Computer Engineering (or related field) with Master's or Ph.D. preferred.
• 10+ years of hardware engineering experience with at least 5 years in senior leadership.
• Experience bringing hardware products to market.
• Experience with regulatory compliance and quality standards in hardware development.
• Experience scaling manufacturing operations and executing new product introductions.
• Experience working with OEMs in automotive, industrial or consumer electronics.
• Experience designing hardware for software-defined vehicles.
• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and safety standards for autonomy and global operations.
• Experience building AI-enabled products for the physical world.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow the hardware organization across electrical, mechanical, and systems engineering.
• Define and drive the hardware vision, strategy and execution roadmap in alignment with company goals.
• Build, lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team across engineering disciplines.
• Partner with software, product, operations, test and supply chain leaders for seamless integration.
• Oversee full product lifecycle from concept through production, ensuring performance, cost, reliability and manufacturability.
• Represent the company in technical discussions with partners, regulators and industry bodies.
• Manage relationships with engineering leaders at OEMs including integration planning, supply chain and ramp.
