Job summary

GSK is seeking a senior epidemiologist to lead respiratory epidemiology and real-world evidence within a global vaccine program. You will partner with clinical development, safety, regulatory, and external groups to shape study design, disease burden estimates, and safety assessments.

You will own the epidemiology program for at least one asset, develop global plans, and mentor staff while negotiating budgets and partnerships in a matrixed, international setting.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in epidemiology, public health, biostatistics or a related discipline.
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant epidemiology experience within a respiratory setting in pharma/biotech/research.
• Experience with real-world data sources (claims, EHRs, registries).
• Experience with epidemiologic study designs and leading RWE programs.
• Ability to lead in a global, matrixed environment and influence stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead epidemiology and RWE work supporting global vaccine development.
• Partner with clinical development, safety, regulatory, health outcomes and external collaborators.
• Design and deliver studies addressing disease burden, treatment patterns and safety.
• Own the epidemiology program for at least one asset or disease area.
• Develop Global Epidemiology Plans and potentially lead cross-functional teams.
• Coordinate scientific dissemination including regulatory documents and publications.
• Build new external partnerships and manage collaborations.
