In this role, you won't just manage a process—you will be the chief architect of our global delivery model, leveraging cutting-edge technology to ensure flawless execution for our 30,000+ employees across AMER, EMEA, and APAC. If you are a transformational leader focused on financial precision, digital innovation, and compliance excellence, your next career milestone starts here.

The Opportunity

You will lead a high-performing global team and manage top-tier vendor partnerships to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant delivery. A primary focus of this role will be driving digital transformation, eliminating operational silos, and continuously elevating our payroll maturity model.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Leadership & Transformation: Define and execute the long-term global payroll strategy. Architect a standardized, scalable operating model that supports rapid corporate growth and geographical expansion.
  • Global Operational Excellence: Oversee the end-to-end processing of multi-country payrolls, ensuring flawless execution, high data integrity, and strict adherence to service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Digital Innovation: Serve as the executive sponsor for global payroll technology implementations (e.g., Workday, SAP, ADP GlobalView). Champion automation, AI, and self-service tools to enhance the employee experience.
  • Compliance, Risk & SOX Governance: Ensure absolute compliance with all international tax laws, labor standards, statutory filings, and cross-border mobility regulations. Maintain a robust control environment compliant with SOX and internal audit metrics.
  • Vendor & Ecosystem Management: Strategically manage relationships, contract negotiations, and governance frameworks with Tier-1 global payroll providers.
  • Talent & Culture Development: Attract, mentor, and inspire a world-class, geographically dispersed payroll team. Foster a culture of continuous improvement, customer service, and professional development.

What You Bring (Qualifications)

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Master's degree or MBA is highly preferred.
  • Certifications: Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) or Global Certified Payroll Professional (GCPP) strongly preferred.
  • Experience: 12+ years of progressive payroll management experience, with at least 5+ years leading a complex global payroll function within a Fortune 500 or equivalent multi-national corporation.
  • Technical Acumen: Deep, hands-on expertise with Tier-1 HCM frameworks (e.g., Workday, SAP SuccessFactors) and complex global payroll engines.
  • Domain Knowledge: Expert understanding of international payroll models (in-country providers vs. aggregators), expatriate tax implications, shadow payrolls, and equity/stock compensation mechanics.
  • Executive Presence: Exceptional communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. Proven ability to influence at the C-suite and Board level.
