Job summary

Faraday Future is seeking an experienced Head of FX EV R&D to lead development of high‑performance, affordable AIEV lineups. This executive will design and execute R&D strategy, integrating advanced EV technologies and user‑driven innovation across FX projects.

The role requires 15+ years in automotive R&D with at least 5 years in leadership, strong systems knowledge, and a track record of delivering mass‑market EVs.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in Engineering, Automotive Technology, or a related field.
• At least 15 years of automotive R&D experience.
• Minimum 5 years in a leadership role within the electric vehicle industry.
• Proven track record in cost-effective, high‑performance EVs for mass market.
• Strong knowledge of EV tech including battery systems, smart cabin, and autonomous driving.

Your Role:

We are seeking an experienced and visionary Head of FX EV R&D to lead our research and development efforts for Faraday X’s innovative electric vehicle lineup. This role is critical in driving the development of our advanced EV technologies, including high-performance electric drivetrains, autonomous driving systems, and sustainable materials. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of automotive engineering and a passion for pushing the boundaries of electric vehicle capabilities.

Create and execute an R&D strategy that supports Faraday X’s mission to deliver high-performance, affordable AIEVs. Focus on integrating advanced technologies and user-driven innovation.

Responsibilities:

Lead Product Development :

Oversee the development of the FX 5 and FX 6 models. Ensure the products deliver on performance, affordability, and user-defined features.

Work closely with design, manufacturing, and marketing to ensure seamless integration of technology and user feedback in product development.

Analyze Market and User Data:

Use market research and user insights to guide R&D decisions, ensuring alignment with consumer demands for cost-effective, high-performance EVs.

Integrate Cutting-Edge Technology:

Lead the integration of advanced EV technologies, including battery systems, smart cabin solutions, and autonomous driving, while keeping costs low.

Manage R&D Team:

Build and lead a high-performing R&D team, providing mentorship and ensuring alignment with company goals.

Ensure Quality and Compliance:

Implement strict testing and validation processes to meet safety standards and industry regulations.

Control Budget and Resources :

Manage the R&D budget, prioritize initiatives, and allocate resources efficiently to meet company objectives.

Required skills and qualifications ：

• Master’s degree or higher in Engineering, Automotive Technology, or a related field.
• At least 15 years of experience in automotive R&D, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership capacity specifically in the electric vehicle industry.

Annual Salary Range:

($170,000 - $240,000 DOE), plus benefits and incentive plans
