Are you a hands-on Head of Finance and Accounting with an interest in having a direct impact on improving accounting operations to increase profitability?

Our client is a growing consumer products company with multi-channel distribution, including wholesale retail partners, direct-to-consumer e-commerce, Amazon, and other digital platforms. Their mission is to deliver high-quality products and a best-in-class customer experience.

Our client has a team of just under 20 employees in Manhattan. As they scale, they are seeking a strategic and hands-on Head of Finance and Accounting to lead financial operations and provide actionable insights that drive sound business decisions.

What You’ll Do:

Manage day-to-day accounting functions and maintain accurate general ledger entries for the company.

Lead the monthly, quarterly and annual financial close and reporting process in alignment with company requirements.

Prepare timely and accurate financial statements in accordance with GAAP and or IFRS.

Oversee cash flow planning and working capital management, including accounts receivable and vendor payments.

Develop annual budgets and rolling forecasts in collaboration with cross-functional teams and coordinate tax compliance and filings with internal and external partners.

Own the payroll process end-to-end and supervise financial oversight for third-party after-sales service providers.

Who You Are:

7+ years of finance, accounting or audit experience with a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field (CPA/MBA preferred)

Advanced proficiency in Excel (pivot tables, lookups and basic SQL); strong PowerPoint presentation skills

Experience with ERP systems, preferably SAP Business One

Experienced in consumer products, retail, or e-commerce environments is preferred
