Reporting to: UK Finance Director
The Opportunity
We are partnering with an established international, multi-site hospitality business to appoint a Director of Finance for its US operations.
Based in Dallas, this individual will be the senior finance lead for the US business, working closely with the UK-based Finance Director and the US leadership team. This is a broad and highly visible role combining financial leadership, commercial insight, operational finance and robust financial control.
The successful candidate will provide the financial information, challenge and analysis required to support better business decisions while ensuring the US finance operation has strong controls, accurate reporting and scalable processes.
This opportunity would suit an experienced Finance Director, Financial Controller or Senior Finance Manager who enjoys operating close to the business and wants the autonomy to lead finance within a fast-moving, multi-site organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day finance function for the US business.
- Act as the principal finance partner to the US leadership and operational teams.
- Deliver accurate monthly management accounts, forecasts, budgets and performance reporting.
- Provide clear commercial analysis and insight into revenue, margins, labor, operating costs and site profitability.
- Develop financial models and scenario analysis to support strategic and operational decisions.
- Lead the annual budgeting and longer-term business-planning processes for the US operation.
- Monitor cash flow, working capital and capital expenditure.
- Maintain a strong financial-control environment across the business.
- Ensure compliance with US GAAP and all relevant federal, state and local reporting requirements.
- Coordinate external audit, tax and banking relationships in partnership with external advisers and the wider group.
- Oversee balance-sheet integrity, reconciliations and period-end reporting.
- Support payroll, treasury, insurance and other areas of financial administration.
- Improve finance systems, reporting tools, processes and management information.
- Build effective relationships with operational leaders and translate financial information into practical commercial actions.
- Recruit, develop and lead the US finance team as the business evolves.
- Work collaboratively with the UK Finance Director to ensure consistent group reporting, governance and financial planning.
Candidate Profile
We are looking for a commercially minded finance leader with strong technical foundations and the confidence to operate as the senior finance contact in the US.
You will ideally bring:
- Significant experience in a senior finance position such as Finance Director, Financial Controller, Director of Finance or Senior Finance Manager.
- A CPA, CMA or equivalent professional accounting qualification, although strong relevant experience will also be considered.
- Experience within a multi-site, hospitality, restaurant, leisure, retail or other consumer-facing business.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP, financial controls, budgeting, forecasting and management reporting.
- Experience partnering with operational leaders and influencing non-finance stakeholders.
- The ability to interpret detailed financial information and turn it into clear commercial insight.
- Strong systems capability, including advanced Excel and experience using finance, planning or business-intelligence platforms.
- Experience improving processes and building a finance function that can support future growth.
- Excellent communication skills and the confidence to work across US and international teams.
- A practical, hands‑on approach combined with the ability to think strategically.
- The judgment, resilience and personal credibility required to work with senior leadership.
What Makes This Opportunity Different
This is not a purely reporting or accounting position. It offers the opportunity to become a trusted financial partner to the US leadership team and play an influential role in operational and commercial decision-making.
You will have significant ownership of the US finance operation, exposure to senior international stakeholders and the opportunity to shape reporting, processes and financial capability as the organization develops.
Package
- Base salary of $150,000–$160,000, depending on experience.
- Performance‑related bonus.
- Competitive benefits package.
- Senior exposure across the US and international business.
