Job summary

Hey Nouri is seeking its first finance leader to own the numbers end to end—from accounting and revenue-cycle economics to the financial infrastructure a scaling healthcare company needs. You will report directly to the co-founders and outside accountants, and you’ll set up the function from scratch.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in finance/accounting with a real foundation (CPA or audit preferred)
• Experience as the #1 or #2 finance person at a healthcare services company that bills insurance
• Hands-on: you’ve personally run a close, not just reviewed one
• Comfortable in a scrappy environment where you set up systems
• Direct RCM/denials experience or managing an RCM vendor
• Company-side fundraising/diligence experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Own the monthly close and financial reporting across two entities (MSO + medical practice) including intercompany accounting and claims revenue recognition
• Lead the financial performance of the insurance revenue engine: realized revenue per session, denial and collection rates, payer mix, and contribution margin
• Own revenue cycle performance end to end: root-cause denial patterns, fix front-end eligibility and billing workflows, and lead billing resources
• Build budgeting, rolling forecasts, and operating model linking patient growth, clinical capacity, and acquisition costs to cash flow, margins, and runway
• Run cash management, AP, payroll, and multi-state filings, strengthening reconciliation and expense processes
• Prepare board and investor materials, support fundraising through financial modeling and due diligence
• Partner with co-founders on capital allocation, pricing, payer strategy, and long-term planning
• Build and lead the finance function over time

Comp: $185,000–$200,000 base

Hey Nouri is a venture-backed virtual clinic treating pediatric obesity - the largest unaddressed chronic condition in children. We combine registered dietitians, physicians, and software to deliver insurance-covered care to families across the US. We're growing fast and building our finance function from scratch.

The role

You’ll be our first finance hire, owning the numbers end to end: accounting, revenue cycle economics, and the financial infrastructure a scaling healthcare company needs. You’ll work directly with both co-founders and our outside accountants. This is a build role — you’ll set up the function from the ground up, then grow it: hiring your own team (starting with revenue cycle) and shaping what finance looks like here as we scale.

What you’ll do

• Own the monthly close and financial reporting across our two entities (MSO + medical practice), including intercompany accounting and claims revenue recognition — gross-to-net, settlement-basis revenue on insurance claims.
• Lead the financial performance of our insurance revenue engine: realized revenue per session, denial and collection rates, payer mix, and contribution margin — and find the opportunities to expand margins as volume scales.
• Own revenue cycle performance end to end: root-cause denial patterns, fix front-end eligibility and billing workflows, and lead our billing resource.
• Build budgeting, rolling forecasts, and the operating model that connects patient growth, clinical capacity, and acquisition costs to cash flow, margins, and runway.
• Run cash management, AP, payroll, and multi-state filings, strengthening reconciliation and expense processes as we scale.
• Prepare board and investor materials, and support fundraising through financial modeling, diligence, and data room preparation.
• Partner directly with the co-founders on capital allocation, pricing and payer strategy, and long-term financial planning.

What we’re looking for

• 6+ years in finance/accounting with a real accounting foundation — CPA or audit background strongly preferred.
• Experience as the #1 or #2 finance person at a healthcare services company that bills insurance — telehealth, MSO/PC structures, or similar.
• Hands‑on: you’ve personally run a close, not just reviewed one.
• Comfortable in a scrappy environment where you set up systems rather than inherit them.
• Direct RCM/denials experience or having managed an RCM vendor.
• Nice to have: Company-side experience through a fundraise or diligence process.
