Job summary

Blue Cross Blue Shield Association (BCBSA) seeks a senior Government Relations lead to manage strategic relationships with Blue Plans and the Office of Personnel Management for FEHB/PSHBP. You'll direct a team of government liaisons, shape federal engagement, and coordinate cross-functional responses to inquiries, audits, and negotiations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; experience in health care or related disciplines.
• Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication abilities.
• Experience leading cross-functional programs with multiple stakeholders.
• Ability to analyze complex information and plan strategically.
• Proficiency with Microsoft software and data tools.
• Preferred: familiarity with AI concepts and business applications.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and develop strategic relationships with Blue Plans and OPM for FEHB/PSHBP.
• Lead a team of government liaisons and direct Federal engagement strategy.
• Coordinate responses to federal inquiries, audits, and regulatory developments.
• Oversee annual congressional meetings and engagement with AFHO.
• Collaborate with OPM contracting officers and senior officials on engagements.
• Ensure timely, integrated communications with government agencies and internal stakeholders.
