Job summary

Johns Hopkins Howard County Medical Center is seeking a Director to lead the facilities management division, guiding engineering technicians, engineers and support staff to complete work on schedule, within budget and in compliance with applicable codes. The role requires strategic planning, budgeting and cross‑department collaboration across the Health System.

The Director will develop and implement staffing structures, ensure safety standards, and maintain high quality facility services

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
Advanced degree in a related field or equivalent knowledge/experience of 15 years in a management position.
10 years related work experience in a supervisory capacity.

Responsibilities

Provides leadership to engineering technicians, engineers and support staff to ensure work is completed on schedule, within budget and in compliance with applicable codes and regulations.
Devises and implements strategies to meet the mission and strategic goals of the hospitals and Health System.
Ensures that the work and efforts of the division are effectively communicated to a broad audience across the Health System.
Implements and revises staffing and management structures to provide facilities management services safely and effectively.
Develops strategies to build relationships with internal and external customers including clinical staff, vendors and leadership across affiliates.
