Job summary

m2r Education is partnering with a British International School in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, to appoint an experienced Head of English for the new academic year. You will lead the English department, shape the curriculum and ensure high standards of teaching and student outcomes in a Cambridge International Curriculum environment.

The role offers international leadership, a competitive package with accommodation, flight allowance and medical insurance, and a two-year contract starting September

Qualifications

  • Subject related Bachelors Degree + PGCE and QTS or equivalent.
  • Minimum 5 years' teaching experience in English Literature and Language.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience as a Head of Department or in a similar subject leadership role.
  • Experience teaching English at GCSE level is essential.
  • Experience teaching KS5 / A Level English is desirable.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of the Cambridge International Curriculum.
  • Proven experience leading and developing an English department.
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • Proven track record of achieving strong student outcomes.
  • Strong leadership skills and the ability to support and develop teaching staff.

As Head of English, you will be responsible for leading and developing the English department, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning, supporting colleagues, developing the curriculum and overseeing assessment and student outcomes. Package
  • $2,900 - $4,100 (£2,100 - £3,000)NETsalary per month, depending on experience +$100 monthly stipend allowance
