Job summary

Marion Technical College seeks a leader to plan and implement the Engineering Technologies program's strategic and operational goals, advance the college mission, and grow partnerships with community and industry.

Responsibilities include developing curriculum, teaching courses, assessing student learning, maintaining accreditation, advising students, and coordinating with the Associate Dean of STEM and the college's offices to ensure program quality and alignment with institutional priorities.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in engineering or closely related field preferred.
• Significant professional experience in engineering and/or higher education.
• Experience with online curriculum development and non-credit training is a plus.
• Strong English writing and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Teach courses and assess student learning.
• Develop and update curriculum for Engineering Technologies programs.
• Maintain program accreditation and prepare required reports.
• Advise students and coordinate with college departments on admissions and enrollment.
• Develop partnerships with employers and community organizations.
• Oversee budget, scheduling, and personnel within the department.
• Support grant activities and external funding opportunities.
