Job summary

Maybell Quantum is seeking a VP of Engineering to lead execution as we scale from R&D into production and delivery. This hands-on leadership role reports to the CEO and collaborates with engineers across regions to build the structure, processes, and team needed to scale.

You will guide system architecture decisions, manage engineering managers and individual contributors, and hire top talent while driving cross-functional alignment with R&D, Product, and Operations to ensure manufacturability

Qualifications

• 15+ years of engineering experience, including 5+ years in leadership roles.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams in hardware or deep tech environments.
• Proven track record delivering complex products from concept through production.

Responsibilities

• Own Engineering Execution: lead delivery of programs from design through production and deployment; drive timelines, milestones, and outcomes; align roadmaps with capacity.
• Lead and Develop the Team: manage engineering managers and individual contributors; build a high-performing, accountable team; hire top talent.
• Drive Cross-Functional Alignment: partner with R&D, Product, and Operations; ensure smooth transition from R&D to Manufacturing/Production; improve design for manufacturability and reliability; implement engineering processes; track key metrics.
• Provide Technical Leadership: guide system architecture decisions; resolve complex technical challenges; ensure rigor in hardware development.
