Job summary

McLaren Automotive Ltd. based at the McLaren Composites Technology Centre in Sheffield leads the end-to-end introduction and industrialisation of new composite manufacturing technologies, CAPEX, processes and supply chains.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Management
• Minimum 10 years in manufacturing/production launch environment with composites or similar low volume, high value manufacturing
• At least 5 years in a senior leadership role responsible for complex product launches, cross functional teams and manufacturing transformations
• Experience with APQP, DVA, DfM, PFMEA, virtual builds, launch readiness reviews and capacity ramp planning
• Demonstrated capability in CAPEX introduction and industrialisation of new processes, materials and manufacturing technologies

Responsibilities

• Represent engineering launch in governance forums
• Lead and develop launch and industrialisation teams to deliver composites technology introductions
• Own cross functional activities to deliver safe, on-time, quality launches within budgets
• Deliver manufacturing readiness from G-2 through SOP and ramp-up
• Ensure facilities, equipment, people and supply chains are ready and validated for production
• Oversee CAPEX, new processes and materials across MCTC operations
• Lead risk management and continuous improvement across launch activities
